Concerning Teams and Roles

From our meeting, we have identified several major areas of effort which would benefit from subordinate organization efforts.

1) Content Development Team (Ad Zoo Creator)

This team is responsible for developing our documentation and propaganda, including:

a) Text documents/notecards of our efforts and documenting our foes’ efforts.
b) Images for signs / kiosks, etc.
c) Prim objects
d) Content givers / delivery systems
e) Networked banlist/landmine probes

2) Grid Rollout Team (Ad Zoo Warrior)

This team will be responsible for spreading the good word. Going out and meeting EVERY POSSIBLE landower on the mainland, and spending time with them to educate them on our cause, as well as offering them tools, support, and morale to resist the temptation to purchase extortive small plots.

3) New Resident Education Team (Ad Zoo Mentor)

This team is responsible for assembling content about our cause, oriented towards the new resident, staffing the various welcome centers and newbie hangouts, and interfacing with other newbie assistance groups / organizations, like the Shelter, NCI, and the SL Mentors group(s).

4) Public Relations Team ( Ad Zoo Ambassador)

This team will be responsible for interfacing with the various news sources in and outside of SL, like:

a) Blogs
b) SL Community Forums (both the official and third-party ones)
c) News networks (like Reuters, CNN, etc)

5) Recruitment Team (Ad Zoo Recruiter)

This team is responsible for recruiting and training folks, working with the other teams to locate potential Warriors for the cause, and getting them prepared and into the theatre.

Each team should have a Lead, and a backup Lead. These roles are merely organizational. Those who Lead will coordinate the members of their teams, and act as Liaisons to all other teams and the organization management group. Leader selection should be based on a fair method. If one or two people volunteer, and no serious dissent is voiced, they will be selected automatically. If more than two volunteer, a vote may be called to select from the pool of volunteers, or they may be assigned by the organization management.

Members may be participants in more than one team, but no team lead should be involved in leading another team, without approval of the organization management. Team Leads may be involved as members in other teams, however.

For such a large venture, we need bodies, LOTS of bodies. :) Those who lead must not be shy or unwilling to speak to or direct/manage large groups of people.

Remember, Leadership is NOT about status or power or any such silliness. To Lead is To Serve, and Leaders will be amongst the hardest working folks in the group.
